"jiu Jitsu changed my life. Now, I use it to change the lives of others"
-Bruno Matias

Black Belt | World Champion | Cantagalo Jiu-Jitsu Founder – Stockholm
Bruno Matias is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt from the legendary Cantagalo Social Project in Rio de Janeiro—an initiative that has produced some of the sport’s most iconic figures.
A student of Fernando “Tererê” Augusto and later Ricardo Vieira at Fight Zone, Bruno rose through the ranks alongside Cantagalo peers like Alan “Finfou”, Jackson Sousa, and Igor Silva, who also emerged from the same hillside favela with world-class skills and an unshakable mindset.
Known for his aggressive, technical style and deep roots in the art, Bruno is a 3x CBJJE World Champion, IBJJF European Open Champion, and IBJJF Master International Europe Double Gold Winner. His achievements span both gi and no-gi competition at the highest levels.
Now based in Stockholm, Sweden, he leads Cantagalo Jiu-Jitsu Stockholm, part of a growing network of Cantagalo affiliates worldwide, sharing his story and legacy through coaching, seminars, and social projects.
